For a limited time, you can buy Kenya beans to take home from our cafés in Copenhagen. It's a filter coffee from Copenhagen Coffee Lab, for when you want to brew a good cup at home.
It's clean and expressive, with a soft, syrupy sweet body. In the cup there's blackcurrant, blackberry sweets, dried fruit and raspberry tart.

The coffee flowers from February to April, and the main harvest runs from September to December. The varieties grow in rich, clay-heavy topsoil.
The cherries are sorted by hand and in water, and the pulp is removed the same afternoon. The coffee ferments overnight, is washed and graded, and then dries slowly for 8 to 14 days.
Water from the Kiri River is reused in the process, and the pulp goes back to the farmers as fertiliser.

Thirikwa is a cooperative that brings its entire production together at one factory, Gakuyu-ini. Around 3,700 farmers deliver their coffee there in peak season.
High standards on the farms and at the washing station pay off for the farmers, and the cooperative pays a premium to the members who deliver the best coffee.
You can buy the Kenya beans at our cafés in Copenhagen while they last. A tin holds 200 g and costs DKK 125.
